Lisa Ludwinski is the owner of Sister Pie. Sister Pie is a bakery serving the Detroit area with seasonally driven pies and cookies. They re-interpret classic recipes with a range of quality, unique ingredients. Sister Pie has grown from a home-baked, cottage food business serving friends and family to a licensed brick-and-mortar bakery providing baked goods to the masses.
Lisa wants to hear more about what’s going on over at Civilla. Civilla is a 3 month pop-up center for social innovation, based in Detroit, MI. I am intrigued, so I will be hoping to get Adam or Lena Selzer on the podcast.
Call to Action
Work every day. You may only have an idea for starting a business, you may be working a full time job and can only do a little each day, just show up and do something every day. You will start to understand what the life of an entrepreneur will be like, and it won’t take long for you to see if it’s the right fit for you.
Bon Bon Bons are “good goodies” that don’t need all the ribbons and lace. No ruffly paper cups, wax-molded bunnies, models in chef coats or couture caramels. Just good chocolate. Good chocolate made from good things for the good people of the Motor City and the world ’round!
