Michael Brennan is one of the founders of Civilla – a center for social innovation based in Detroit. Civilla works with leaders in the community to bring design and innovation to the social and civic sector. They are committed to putting individuals at the center of their work and making sure that innovation is brought to citizens at all socioeconomic levels.
Michael would love to hear from Paul Siebert. Paul is the director of design and innovation over at InMovement, maker of standup desks.
Michael also mentioned Jim Hackett, former CEO of Steelcase.
Remarkable Brand of the Week
Michael actually had 3 to share with us this week.
Rebel Nell – A Detroit based social enterprise that empowers women, creating Graffiti Jewelry from chipped paint and offering classes in financial success.
Floyd – Furniture for city living. You have to check out their site to see what this is all about. Very cool indeed.
Patagonia – This is a brand that I personally love as well. Their purpose is deeply infused into their brand, more so than any other company around.
